Kimmo Leinonen is an esports event management expert and the Esports Planning Officer for the City of Espoo, where he develops digital solutions for sports and exercise in collaboration with businesses, associations, and educational institutions. With over four years of experience in esports, Kimmo leads city-wide strategy and operations while also specializing in volunteer coordination—having built and led teams for major tournaments like Elisa Masters Espoo 2022.
His passion lies in creating innovative digital experiences that support the growth and well-being of esports professionals and communities. Backed by a strong background in sales and international business, Kimmo has successfully secured and managed multiple nationally and internationally funded projects. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business.
